The Client supplies software infrastructure for the next generation video distribution networks. The goal of the project is to develop IPTV Set-top box for streaming DRM protected video with revolutionary user interaction ability and incredible channel switching speed. Our scope of work covers both software stack and hardware design.
We deliver s/w stack starting from OS & low-level drivers up to middleware and application level.
S/w team is working on Android customization for target h/w platform, integration of all the parts together (Android, LAN, Wi-Fi, DRM, HDCP, RF) and providing required s/w interfaces to application level.
Job description:
HLS v4 ( client support)
HLS v4 ( test environment setup )
Integration with Content Vendors
HLS - channel switch optimization ( client/server)
HLS - ID3 tags ( client's parser / server's injector )
Player Optimization ( FF / RW multiple speed / SEEK )
MPEG-DASH ABR streaming protocol (multiple DRM incl. AES 128 common encryption)
PlayReady DRM
MPEG profiles testing ( BP/MP/HP)
ABR test for all players ( bandwidth throttling)
ABR players optimization
Subtitles tests ( client / server )
Audio profiles ( including DD+) testing /optimization
Key responsibilities:
Adding support for new video codecs, containers, etc.
Optimization & testing of different containers, codecs, bitrates
Fixing common video related problems like audio/video synchronization, bitrates, colors issues, etc.
Business travels to customer premises (US) during integration phases
Required skills:
Experience in video broadcasting, streaming or encoding/decoding
Deep architectural knowledge is not required, but general understanding of the following fields are required:
-Most popular codecs (MPEG2, H264, etc)
-Video containers and streaming approaches (avi, mp4, HLS, RTP)
-General understanding of color formats (RGB, NV12, etc) and color temperature
-General understanding of common video related problems like adaptive bitrate and audio/video synchronization
