Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. We offer assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF in Ukraine is looking for a Transport Officer in Dnepropetrovsk.
Main duties:
Manage and plan the shipment of goods between the projects and facilities choosing the best possible transportation companies, transport means and routes
Responsible for the reception of request from the departments for car movement (movement of staff) between Dnepropetrovsk and other bases. To be focal point of all movement from Dnepropetrovsk.
Make sure that all necessary documentation for the cargo is ready and provided to drivers
Responsible to make the convoys and keep tracking of their way till the final destination
Compose, agree and coordinate MSF cars weekly movement plan
Coordinate car movements with logisticians from other bases and colleagues, according to activities plans
Arrange the shipment of goods purchased locally and manage all related administration
Regularly assess the market (companies, prices, services, delays), and proposes different third party providers for validation. Put efforts to find direct contacts of providers and to always enlarge the database of different providers
Requirements:
Education: Essential secondary education.
Experience: At least 2 to 3 years experience in the logistics department.
Languages: Essential English, Russian and Ukrainian.
